    Stinker.

Have you been to the new store yet? There's obviously still work to do but it's really starting to come together. The air conditioning was installed on Tuesday and that's the only reason I was willing to pull the trigger on some of the nicer fish. (Also got a Chrysurus Angel, Flame Anthias, Helfrichi Firefish, Panda Gobies, and a whole heck of a lot Lettuce Leaf Nudi's.....it seems that 1/2 of St. Louis has Bryopsis so these puppies won't last long).

Oh yea. Been there a number of times, though it is a bit out of the way for me (Jeff County). But I will be up that way tomorrow.

I'm not saying I'll be getting them.;) My pockets aren't that deep, and my wife would have my head.:skull:

    My favorites:
    C. lineatus (have one, fantastic supermale at that)
    C. lanceolatus (good luck finding one of these; I'll likely never own one)
    C. rhomboidalis (have one)
    C. Jordani (own one, used to have a pair)
    C. earlei (occasionally in the trade, DD has some stashed right now. Maybe one day if the price comes down...)
    C. bathyphilus (never owned, known to get cranky with other Cirrhilabrus; also love the Nahacky's sub-species)
    C. laboutei (used to own one)

    I'm done now. :)

Sidenote: YMMV when keeping pairs of Cirrhilabrus. Seems it's about a 50/50 shot if the females stay female. However, the dominant male usually tolerates the sub-dominant male, if it started as female.

Brad Syphus (keeper of an insane amount of wrasses in Utah) started with a trio of Rhomboids; he now has 3 males.

    ahh one day!
I do like the laboutei, lineatus, and rhomboidalis. Also would like to own a Blue Striped Tamarin Wrasse (A. femininus) one day. lol Sanjay has three :-/
And in the near future I am considering picking up a mystery wrasse.

You asked about Cirrhilabrus; otherwise I would have included a A. femininus. ;) However, I couldn't ever spend that much on a fish. $400 is where I must draw the line, and even then the sane part of my brain laughs at me. At the end of the day, A. femininus is still a Anampses, and therefore are known to be delicate. Can be quite the expensive gamble.

I hate the entire Pseudocheilinus genus. All of them eventually turn evil once they become well established in a tank, and don't play well with any other genus of wrasses. Be careful with that one.

you know, Everyone says that but my experiences are quite different. I have kept mated pairs in larger aquariums and they always seem to just go about their own business. maybe checking out, but never bothering new additions.

I am leaning towards that in smaller aquariums the size constraint is a major player in the aggression?
