    I've had this urchin for a long time, but never really knew what type it is. It like a small spiny urchin but it's only the size of a dime in diameter if even that... Here's a couple pics.

    A little pointy for a pencil, isn't it? Thought they had flat tipped spines.
    I had one very similar to that for a while, but never knew exactly what kind it was.

    depends on the urchin, some are more worn down than others, especially if its a baby its spines owuld be pointier

    not a pencil urchin they are indeed rounded tips.

    its a rock boring urchin
