Beautiful shots, and animals. I think a skimmer would not be needed with large WC and a low bio load.

Agreed. I have 4 fish in my tank and use a skimmer, refuge and carbon. I clean the skimmer cup every week and it is not more than half full usually. I change carbon when I remember to and remove floating algae from the refuge when I remember to. I do a 5% water change every week normally. I might be able to get away without a skimmer with a little more of a water change on a SPS tank.

If I was keeping sps I'd most likely be running a skimmer. I don't mind doing WC but not every other day-lol.
I've got 1 more fish then you, nanner nanner nanner! Don't run carbon, because I've really got no place to put it. No hi flow areas except in my tank. Yup I'm all about WC!

On a side note-that nem on the right has got to go!!!! I rescued it from our LFS-all bleached out and about the size of a half dollar-I don't think it's a Maxi Mini like I first thought :(

All is well with my tank. Nothing really new to report. Dilly (ORA Target Mandarin) is doing wonderfully :)
My 1 and only acan, bought a year ago from Mr.Coral is finally taking off. The only 1 out of 3 to survive the first week. I started target feeding it (mostly by accident) and wow! Although I'm sure the dullness of color is due to it being so high up in my tank. I don't want to move it for fear of ruining the good karma~lol.

How can a tank so small lose fish? Fed everyone at 8:30a.m. and by 11:00 my Yellowtail Fang Blenny is MIA. Nowhere within 20' of the tank. Not in her special spot. I cannot see totally inside the LR nooks and crannys but she/he never hides for this long :(

Update: To my horror, while sitting here watching for any sign of my Blenny I see a glob of something being spewed from the mouth of an MM. Sure enough upon closer inspection under a magnifier it was the remains of my Blenny. The skull was fully intact.

R.I.P. lil Blenny :( you will be sorely missed.

Well it's now been 2 months without a skimmer. All corals are thriving. Fish happy and healthy. Water parameters are stable. Changed my 2part from ESV to BRS, same 15ml daily of each. Levels are maintained at: Ca=450~ALK=8.4~Mag=1400~Ph=8.1~SG=1.026~SA=34 and Temp=79

I have got to do some zoa fragging! Got 100+ climbing up the back wall of the tank LOL
My lil Blue Tipped Hammer finally split, now 2 heads being better then 1.

Sorry but no :( The holes are just to narrow to get anything down in there so I can get at the foot.
It's causing me stress as I have a lot of fear my Mandarin will become a victim too. He stays away from them but so too did my Blenny. But fish get spooked ya know and I just don't want to risk it.

On another note, removing them will open up some real estate for a new coral or two :)
