So after battling with algae for the first 3 months of my 28g nano, I am interested in setting up some more equipment. What would be more important for algae control. I have bryopsis and cyano outbreaks that I am battling. My phos and nitrites read 0. What kind of phospho reactor would work with a nano cube and is easy to set up. Do most people run phosban or GFO in reactors? What about a UV sterilizer for a nano cube?

This nano cube, is it an all-in-one? Reason I'm asking is to get a picture of your setup.

I'd first find the source of your algae issues before investing any moneys in new equipment. Who knows, it could be that you just need to change your water source. Are you using tap water? The reason your still battling the two is because your still feeding them.

I'll post a pic of the back tonight. I use ro/di water from the fish store. All my parameters read 0. It's set up with the stock filter chamber with chaeto, purigen/carbon, and LR rubble in the three chambers. I have 2 small clowns and a goby. Lights are on about 7-8 hrs a day. Temp 79-81. SG 1.05.

SG is high, although im not sure thats really your problem here. The reason your parameters could be zero and algae is still growing is if the cyano is feeding off the nutrients in the water, making them appear to be fine. I would say if your willing to spend the money get a skimmer over the GFO or phosban, just my opinion... but before buying one of these figure out what the problem is like the other guy said and see if theres a cheaper way to fix it

I have a 28 nano and have a Tunz that works great, fits in the center compartment in the fuge, that is all I run, no media. I used to have BAD outbreaks with mine. I switched to the LED hood and dial back the daylight a couple hours now if i see too much. With the HQI heat was an issue with mine too, that did not help the outbreaks.
