    About 2 weeks ago, I started using Kent Marine's Nano-Reef Parts A & B:

Calcium and alkalinity supplements formulated for nano reefs and smaller reef systems. Easy-to-use, 2-part liquid system simplifies reef supplementation vital for healthy coral and invertebrate growth. Provides all important major, minor, and trace elements in proper ratios while increasing alkalinity and maintaining proper pH. Minimizes overdose or adverse chemical reactions. Each 8 oz bottle treats 475 gallons. Kent Marine Nano Reef Parts A & B - 8oz each (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Additives > Two Part CA/ALK )

Since then, my Ph has remained a constant 8.2, Ca at 440, KH at 9.

My Calc is low (280) and Alk is high (22) in my 14 gal BioCube. I used Kent's Part A/Part B just 2 days ago.

Is it probable that my PH Buffer and and use of Purple Up is jacking up my Alk???

Should I stop using them and just use A+B???

This is problem with using additives. You wind up chasing your tail using different ones. Especially in a small tank. :-/

Just doing frequent small water changes using standard salt mix should be all you need. --

I would follow Omard's advice. Unfortunately, what works for one doesn't always work for all. Even with frequent small water changes my Ca hovers at around 380, that's one of the reasons I started adding the Kent A&B. But, when it's time to restock my salt supply, I'm going to try a different brand and see if that has anything to do with it. Having a small tank is work enough without having to worry about additives! Good luck.
