    Hey,

I am looking into starting a 10 gallon nano reef tank. I was looking into buying a skimmer for it, and it didn't know if it would be an over kill to buy a skimmer for it? I was looking at the Reef Octopus Nano Hang On Skimmer OCT NS-80. Any opinions? Thank you so much!

IMHO, yes a skimmer would be overkill for a 10g tank. Routine water changes would be quite small and would suffice for removing DOCs/nutrients.

+1, although, I'm not sure of the term overkill, it just won't do anything except overflow and cause headaches... It's very easy to change a large percentage of water in a 10g. This does the same thing, but better...
