It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Common standard is, any tank 30 gallons to 6 gallons is considered a nano, anything small is considered a pico.

By no means is a 55 gallon a large tank though. If you want larger try to go at least 90-120 gallons.

You can start with Wikipedia, but I might have had that changed just to prove my point. :p

My goals for my tank will be more reef, less fish. i think... i want a few clown fish and just some nice coral. I am still reading the millions of posts about coral and such so i dont really know what kind, i have time to figure that out. my brain is starting to rebel with all this reading so I'm really hoping to find someone i trust in my adventures tomorrow to the LFS in the area. Anyone know of a good guys/gals in the DFW area?

I started off with a 16 gallon bow front and now I am in the process of doing a 40 gallon breeder build. I personally like the idea of a bigger tank because it doesn't limit what you can have in your tank. I know you said you wanted more reef then fish, but with a bigger tank you can have even more reef.

I am also a huge fan of diy projects as well, so I am building my own stand and I painted the back of my 40 breeder black. I did this to help hide all the unsightly things that hang on the back of the tank and to take better pics lol.
