yeah i had a cbb and it was weird...he stayed alive for about a month...was eating on the very first day i put him in...got comfortable after about a week and came up and feed with the other fish...and then one morning my parents woke up and didnt see him all day (he slept in caves) and then the next day they saw him laying dead on the sand...so idk if i wanna try them again...not just yet...maybe wait until i get a larger very well established tank and try it again

If you get copperband, make sure he is eating prepared food at lfs.

I gotta go with the coral beauty on this one. The CBB and Potter's are notoriously hard to keep alive. The melanurus wrasse will get to big and I am a fan of only one wrasse in a tank.

The Coral Beauty will add some great color and activity to the tank.

highly recommend the melanurus and the mccoskers i ahd the melanurus for a little while up until he became sushi *long story* and he didnt bother my McCoskers and he left my shrimp alone along with most of the inverts, he only seemed to be interested in the ceriths. Very peaceful and active fish. I still have the McCoskers and he is gorgeous and very active i highly recommend both.

Also a little sidenote if you do end up getting a melanurus he will probably outgrow the tank but if you get a small one you can have it until it outgrows the tank or you upgrade, mine was 3-4inches

yeah pufferchick i read what happened 2 ur wrasse that really sucks...but people have been telling me that they grow too big for a 46gal...so im really leaning towards the mccoskers and potters angel...i just dont know its such a tough decision...and it seems like all online sites only have male mccoskers available...any reason?

    thanks, that day deffiently sucked.

and as far as the McCoskers go i dont know why they only have the males, maybe the females are harder to get? i got my male at the LFS for like $25 or something like that, so maybe try seeing if your LFS can get any male or female McCoskers in and for what price, deffiently a beautiful fish, just makes sure you dont have any aggressive fish, i have a chromis that's constantly beating up my McCoskers he does not show any sign of aggression towards the chromis and just flashs and acts all submissive, really sad to watch, but i cant catch that damn chromis, but the two are doing a little better. so jsut make sure you dont have any bullies

I love the looks of the Potters...I would risk it if it were up to me.

I'm also going to throw out a random suggestion...Flame Hawkfish. I love mine, just got it about a month ago and it hasn't bothered any inverts at all. Extremely active, always at the front of the tank.
