    It's not that strange. All the flasher wrasses are fairy wrasses, but not all fairy wrasses are flashers as well.

    Would you mind going into more detail here about what you mean? I haven't heard that particular reasoning before and am curious.
    Are you just referring to the fact that some Cirrhilabrus species change color and flash their fins and do the flashing "dance" for females like the Paracheilinus species do?
    I'm not clear what traits you would be referring to that would indicate a Paracheilinus species would be a fairy though.

    Paracheilinus and Cirrhilabrus species are both commonly called fairy wrasses.
