I watched my nasa snail lay eggs along the glass in my tank today how long do they take to hatch? Do you thing its worth not cleaning that side of the glass for a wile to see what happens?

they do not hatch. they will just stay there until they disolve or get scraped off. They will also lay on your rocks too. they don't hurt anything either..

I am pretty sure mine actually did hatch. It took a few days and the hatched eggsacks look like little empty circles. A couple days after they are layed you should be able to see seperate eggs and once they bust open you may see some VERY small slug looking things wandering around your tank. They make great food for fish so dont expect any / many to make it.

The last time I cleaned my hob filter I found a bunch of tiny snails, turbos I think. They were probably sheltering in there so they wouldn't get eaten. From time to time I have also found some in by dt.

    Some do survive...
