My naso has white spots whenever I stick my hand in the tank, or whenever I get to close to it. He is a very tempermental fish with strange feelings although he is still my favorite in the tank. As long as they are not there permanently you are just fine.

Mine gets blotches like that when he is scared. Just normal for the fish to try and change his colors to blend in or wart of predators.

This is similar to my Striped BT tang. When she feels threatened she gets dark spots on her. But they are gone now whenever i come to the tank.

I just bought a beautiful 6+ inch Naso yesterday. Tonight I start cleaning the inside of my tank and the Naso starts getting white spots on it and he freezes up at the bottom. I get out of the tank, spots disappear. This thread helped me, I thought I was gonna lose him. Thanks guys.
