I know this is a general question, but can anyone tell me what would be a decent number of nassarius snails to use in my tank. I have a 12 gallon nano dx with about a 2 inch sand bed. I do bi weekly water changes. I have 3 now,2 grown ones and 1 very small one. would these do the job, or what should I look for to see if I need more???? thanks

It matters how much sand you have showing. Do you have a lot of rock in there? I dropped 100 of them in a 265g and I could use some more. I like how they keep the sand stirred up. I would try 15 or 20 and see how they do.

I have 20, along with a couple dozen turbos....As soon as you begin to feed the tank they pop up from the sand and start charging....I just finished feeding my Tubastreas, and as predicted they all came charging...LOL

Less is more as starvation will be the end result, in my opinion!!! Stick with what you have right now!!
