nassarius snails

    Can you keep nassarius snails if you only have 1/2 inch of aragonite substrate? I know they like to bury themselves in sand, and some websites I've seen recommend using them with only >2" sand beds - any truth to this, or can they be happy in my tank?

    I have them in about an inch of sand and they seems happy to me.. so far I have only had 2 die, but that is because of mean hermit crabs.. they are great to have in your tank to clean up the uneaten food..
