Yeah, do a little research on acro crabs and you might just regret that.. My pink birdsnest came with one and he fights off everything that get close to the birdsnest and removed any algae and eats any settling food..

I have to say bad move man

Ive done all the research I could to determine that he is indeed bad.
Heres just one link showing bad and good acro crabs. There are plenty more out there in regards to links. Good crabs are visibly and clearly different than the guy I pulled out.

    HELP!! I Got Acro Crabs!!!

Good acro crabs do not eat the coral. More of a maintenance. The bad crab I had munched on the tips.

Do a little bit more research.

Really mine is a ***** cat, affriad of everything. I know a lot of people see them eating a fish, but its usually already dead, so they get a bad rap.

hairy is a good indicator on it being bad. I knew this guy was problems when I say tips of some nice coral freshly muched on.

But yea.... they will hang out in the colonies. My crab changed colors from light to dark. At least thats what ive noticed. probably camoflauge from predators.
