Hey I get my saltwater from the sea. The water I get is very clean and works well. But some of my fish have ich. When I get the water from the beach I carry home about 55 Gallons of the stuff and store it for waterchanges etc. I'm about to pull my fish out and quarantine\treat them for the disease but I'm afraid that when I use the natural sea water again I will infect the fish once more.

Does anyone have a recommendation about the storage\treatment of my STORED saltwater to make sure that all kill all parasites before I do my water changes?

seawater always carries that risk. personally i wouldn't go that route for water given how much money we spend on our tanks. can i ask why you dont just make your own?

i believe if you want to store saltwater from the sea then a lot of medicating will be needed for the water. and that will not promise all parasites will be destroyed. and the cost of medicating will be more than what you will spend on making your own in the long run

Are you getting your SW straight from the beach? From what I understand, it's best to get it off the coast, like a couple miles or so since it's not as polluted.

As for the ich, the parasite needs a host to survive. After the Tomonts stage (after it falls off the fish to reproduce), it takes like 30 days to develop, then goes to the free swimming stage (Theront Stage) where it needs a host. If not, it'll die. So if you run it for 30+ days w/o fish, you shouldn't have any ich. But that's just ich, not sure of all the other stuff that'll be in there.

Why not just perform hyposalinity while in quarantine? I've got two tanks setup right now running hypo for some new additions to my display tank. Pretty easy to do and better than meds like copper.
