    Good find there Geek I just hate to hear people saying I have low NO3's only 10 or 20 PPM 5ppm is to much if you see it there is to much already.

    I covered the basement window closest to my 5.5 gal.. I have no direct sunlight what so ever and its made a big difference.... With algae that is...

    although i use it in freshwater plant tanks with alot of success, i agree,never ever on the saltwater unfortunately, i strategically put my first reef, a 29 gallon, right under the brightest window in the house thinking i would approach it like a freshwater planted tank, it was an allout disaster within a few months,after moving it to the other side of the room its like night and day.
