Is it live or just regular sand.

I just looked it up ....if its "bio-active" its live. If the bag doesnt state that, no bacteria =(

If your starting up a new set up it would be benificial to add some live sand in there as well just to help the system. if it isnt bioactive than maybe you could add 1 bag of the bioactive to the other bags. other than that i dont see any issues with the sand.

Ok well that's only 20lbs of the 40lbs that's going in. I already added 20lbs of live sand.

Should I mix them up? I like how the finer sand looks so if I can just leave it on top of the live sand I would like to.

Either way, the the bacteria in the live sand will transfer to the non live sand.
