Well, back in September I was at a local frag swap. One of of the corals I bought was a bright neon orange fungia plate coral, that was coveted be other people at the swap. I have never seen a more beautiful orange plate. It was doing so great in my tank, bright orange with purple tips, ugh so gorgeous. But just the other day I noticed it was no longer extending it's tentacles. I thought maybe it was something with the water parameters, but no. My beautiful flame angel nips at it. :/ the coral doesn't look to good now. I can see it's skeleton :( I fear it's not going to make it. My only is hope is that the coral will have tons of babies. We shall see in time...

You may already know this, but these prefer less lighting, so keep it shaded if you have bright lighting. Also, have you been feeding it? These guys can eat quite a bit, and are definitely one LPS that should be fed regularly IMO.

Yeah, I feed it well. My very first plate coral was in my nano. http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-of...ge-fungia-disc-coral-149889.html#.UpFliru-lGk I fed it every weekend for well over a year. It became huge! This one enjoys the spot in the tank...funny enough, I looked at it before the lights went out tonight. I swear it's flesh is growing back...
