Looks like some sort of moray eel. You just bought it and never researched it?

    Yeah, leapord or skeletor.
Before spending a 100 bucks I would have researched as they may eat other fish!

I was going to say that is one way to get the damsels out of the tank if they are unwanted.

Leopard eel’s are beautiful, when I was diving in Hawaii I saw lots of them – during a few night dives they came out and were very active. I know very little of them in the aquarium so I can’t help you there – but other here will. If it will get along with your other inhabitants I suspect you will love the addition. Good Luck

I've kept eels before I have a zebra now that i've had for seven years. The store had this marked as marble moray and I couldn't find that anywhere. The book I have showed the Tessalata as black and white only so I wasn't sure. Thanks to all who chimed in.BTW he/she seems to love the 125 gal. he has all to him/herself.

i just saw one today for about $200 so you got yourself a steal. question: were those damsels intended to be an eel snack?
