I figured it was time to start a new thread seeing as how I finally picked up my new tank.

    Here it is!

It was previously used as an unbaffled sump for only a skimmer, but it used an external pump. Luckily for me, it meant that it was already drilled, and I'd just need to build an internal overflow box.

I also got a bag of black sand waiting to be dumped in. I'm hoping to give it a thorough cleaning tomorrow and possibly figure out how I want to build the internal overflow box. If not, I will at least get a start on the canopy and stand so I can get this show on the road.

If anyone has some cheap and easy ideas for internal overflow let me know!

My GF has been reading it, I think it's called Sex on the Beach or something, but it's far less interesting than the title makes it out to be.

Picked up the bulkhead fitting today, and I hope to start plumbing it tomorrow.

I took a couple quick shots of both tanks on the stand.

I plan on paneling the stand, but you get the rough Idea where things will go. Drain will come down the right side, return on the left side, skimmer somewhere in the middle. Controller will probably be mounted on the door, but the power brick has yet to find a home.

Probably a smoked glass internal overflow box with a durso standpipe

Unfortunately I didn't get much done today. I got done running the wire through the conduit and gluing the conduit to a fitting on the MH, before getting pulled away to work on an SR powered S13 coupe all day. Hopefully I can get further along tomorrow.
