I need to buy a grounding probe because the last time I cleaned my tank I could feel the edge of one of my fingernails stinging and tingling (I made sure it wasnt just the salt water by getting a cup of tank water and putting my finger in the cup = no tingling) the thing is I cant find anywhere in Australia to buy one, anyone know where I could find one or if the american ones will work here. thanx

US one would work but you would need a adaptor as the plugs are different
you could just cut the plug and attach an Aussie one.
I Have one in my tank and from what I can tell its just a wire to ground.

well not just a wire because most wire is copper , and we dont want that in our tanks:)

All you need is copper wire to connect to your electrical ground, and crimp connect it onto a bit of titanium welding rod (or stainless steel if you can't find Ti). Put a heat shrink tube over the connection and insert in tank. Should cost no more than a few dollars in supplies. While you're at it, though, try unplugging one thing at a time - powerheads, heater, submerged pumps, until you find the faulty component- and replace it.

instead of putting a band aid on it, find the source

any electronic device can bleed into the water column including your lights.
