Well if it is not sure if I want to keep it. I have always been against having them because of taking them from the wild. But then again I don't think this one would have been taken from the wild. It is moving fast. It moved to the other side of the rock and is now back on the other side.

He is at the very top of my tank and see how far he moved in just a couple minutes.

After looking at some pics and seeing how fast this think moves it has to be a anemone. I just didn't realize they move as fast as this one does as I have never had one an no experience with them. It is now 3 big rocks over. My tank IMO is way to young for one but now it is decision time. Keep it or give it away.

It won't die. I am sure your tank is more then fine for any creature. He is looking for a spot to make home. Yes they move so fast. I said mine grew from 3 to14 inches in7 months. The other day I brushed it with a plastic tube it recoiled so fast into its base. From 14" to maybe 1/2 " of tentical out of sand. It was amazing. I wish I could have recorded it.
Any way congrats on your new pet. Keep it it came to your door.

I think I'll keep it around for a little while just to see what happens. Cool hitchhiker huh. Here is a pic this morning with the actinics on with flash. It is below the gonipora to the right. Click the image to zoom in.

Is he still moving or is that his new home. Mine settled in and has not moved. I have read they move though, I don't know. What did it come in on on a coral. that is weird. lta sting corals.

He didn't move when the lights were off but he is now on the move again when the lights came on. He is a fast moving little booger.
