My Coralife Super Skimmer on my 90 gallon reef just died. I could try and fix it, but its a couple years old and not really top of the line so I may as well get a new one. I was thinking octopus or bullet. Thoughts?

Those are good skimmers, should take good care of you.

I have two reef octos from the NWB- series of skimmers - I love them both!

Reef Octo's come highly recommended across the board.

Check the sponsor threads, I saw yesterday one of the sponsors here have eshopps psh-100's & 150's on sale for under $100 and have 3reef discount to boot. I have a psk-75 and have nothing but good things to say about it for a budget minded skimmer.

I went with a Reef Octopus Extreme XS. Should be here soon and I can't wait to hook it up.

I'm quite happy with my SRO 2000-Int, even though it's being a pain to dial in, quiet and it pulls some good skimmate even without full break in. My second choice was the Extreme XS, I heard the new pumps are microcontrolled so they don't have the old impeller issues.

I will throw another vote out for the Super Reef Octopus. Until I found a used Bubble King I was going to go this route. By far the best price-performance skimmers on the market and one of the better performing skimmers overall.
