Devilfish!!:( Orchid's are the least aggresive of this species but don't think any would get along with your firefish. Sorry to sound like a broken record.Unfortunately this is the main problem with small tanks.Adding fish that will get along in its tight confines is quite a struggle and IMO you should be very cautious.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I agree with Vinny.

Putting a Dotty Back in a small tank is asking for trouble.

That's why I'm asking instead of doing :) So royal gamma is at the head of my list even with the potential of it not being a free swimmer.

Moving down the list: How about a Pygmy or possum wrasse?

Possum Wrasses are great fish but notriously shy. They do overcome the shyness in time as do most fish. I would probably choose the Possum over the Gramma as my experience with them is they can be somewhat aggresive in a small tank and IMO would worry about my Firefish (here we go again lol) as they are somewhat similar in body shape.Chalk Bass would also be a good choice.;)

Thanks for the link. They look nice but those images are touched up quite a bit. I'd have to see some untampered photos to make a call. I's talking with AquaSD about some really nice RBTA's now.

Vinny, don't feel bad. Help is help, regardless. I knew my choices were slim from the start. Doesnt seem like any retailers have any possum wrasses right now so I might explore the chalk bass a bit more.

Aqua SD has nice stuff too no doubt. And yea its a bit bright but have been there in person and the majority of stuff is on sale. They have a coupon I used a couple days ago "liquid" gives you 33% off lol so try it out if you decided with them.

And no I don't work there or no them personally or raise my kids in there fish tank just passing along some info lol

No harm done :) I've been talking with Aqua SD today and I think that's who I will be dealing with. So far, great customer service and I like what they have in stock. Once I get shipping figured out, I'm going to pull the trigger.

I vote for a neon goby, they stay small, under 2", and are peaceful (are a "cleaner" species)
