should be ok till you get home, how big is your tank? i have 2 heaters in my 450 never thought it would be so hard to keep such a large volume of water at a stable 25°c (78.2). good advice given to crank up your house heating.

    GOODLUCK WITH YOUR NEW JOB!!!!!!!

Well just got home. First day of work went great, in fact awesome.... Looks like the temp is at 78.3. I dunno why its not keeping it around 79? Thats what the RKL is set at, and I increased the temp on the heater to 85 to make sure it was working hard, maybe its just slowly losing its power over time?

Just got to this post and can't believe anyone hasn't thought of this. Any chance your thermometer is going out of whack? What kind is it? Just a thought, specially at this point. Might be worth double checking the temp with another device.

I didnt, I know i should have but I was so exhausted and wanted to see what it was at.

Placed a thermometer in the tank, confirms my RKL temperature probe, at 78 degrees.

Well, just my luck, i get home from work only to find my tank at 69 degrees. It pisses me off because I recall my marineland stealth heater since i found out they explode, then the place I turned it in at didint have anything but the crap heater im using now which just failed, and since it was such short notice the only thing i could do was buy a random Aqueon heater.

So annoyed, I was waiting for my first paycheck to get a nice Finnex heater, while I order another PC4 and some other stuff from marine depot in a few weeks.

On another note, the livestock seems okay for now.

Wow. wow. wow. And now im even more annoyed. It wasnt the heater. I just tried it in another plug, it was the PC4 SLOT. For what reason its not flipping on I do not know, dont have the time to mess with it right now, very concerning that the slot just isnt working?

I will try it with another device later. I am positive it wasnt the program as I did try both the controller and heater function and it still did not work.

I would be annoyed as well. At least you figured out the problem.

Do it old school for now and plug the heater to the wall with the temp set wherever u like it. Temps in the 60's is something I would b worried about.
