Last week I ordered live stock for my tank, 1 Blue Lanickia Starfish and a pair of young engineer gobies. Today however I received the starfish and only one engineer goby. I notified the supplier and they said they had a shipment misshap and will send me another engineer gody. However it will be 2 weeks before I will receive it. Would it be alright if I were to go ahead and introduce the 1st one to my tank and in 2 weeks the other?

I would get rid of both, but if you really want them, it should be fine as long as you have a large tank.
    Tank size/age?

My tank is a 45 gallon long tank that is nearing its 2nd year.

A little harsh, but I do agree that you know what you are getting into with them. They really aren't reef safe due to how much they dig and move around AFAIK.

Yeah, imagine a sleeper goby, but it also makes huge burrows and gets a foot long.

loved my engineer goby :) I would try and maybe stop the shipment of the other and only keep one. They grow pretty big and 2 would be a nightmare. They really aren't reef safe though - had to give up my 6 year old engineer so that I could go reef. HTH
