lol i just had a whole like 5 page post written up and just deleted it. on purpose cause i could be allot simpler. i have a 24 inch deep tank(21 or so to the sand) with rock all the way up to about 5 inches below the surface. my lights sit right on top. about 3 inches from surface. i have 4x54 watt( new 50/ 50 actinic uv bulbs)+130 watt pc 10000k+420nm pic shows the setup. its very bright think some things are getting blinded.

how far down do you think i can place corals?

can my frogspawn and torch be placed within reach of each other?
(i know that hammers and froggys will be cool but not sure if its all euphillia, like the torch)

i need to move things to make room for growth and new corals.im guilty of having more corals than i thought. and with these new UV bulbs the growth has been non stop.
    check out the pics

oh yeah the pics were just taken with the actinics about to go off so every thing is kinda smaller. and the only reason that top row is empty is because anyhting up there gets blinded except a hydnopora frag(size of thumbnail) im hoping i can get my new pulsing zeina to spread there( as i dont want sps)

If anything you could start them in the bottom of the tank then slowly move them up over time to avoid bleaching of the corals.

Hammers, frogspawn, and torches are the 3 euphyllia and can be safely placed together.

I'll let someone else address the other questions.

BTW, I LOVE your aquascaping!! It's beautiful.

From the pics positioning looks pretty good, I'd be more concerned with flow. If the light is to bright sometimes corals will bleach out, but then return to color. Polyp extension is a good indication of right light. Short extension to light, long stretching extension not enough light.

Very nice job on tank, aquascaping and coral placement.

I would not put Hammer next to anything. Probably get allot of toxin release or sweeper action no matter what nearby.

Frogspawn is much more light forgiving then a Hammer...you can put it about anywhere and it will do well.

    Good luck.

    Keep us posted.

thanks for the complements as soon as i get the new corals in place and my flow situated, im gonna do a tank thread with macro shots of each coral and fish maybe even a new vid of whole setup. alot has been done since the vid contest.

omard i dont have a hammer i was talking about moving my frogspawn to the side with my torch, but i dont think im going to anymore, check out the growth i have on this frogspawn,(pic)this is what makes me think it likes its spot.it has about 20 of this lil baby heads along with 5 full size heads 2 are in the middle of a split. i started with 3 small heads 8 months ago.

flow seemed to calm down a lil today few more tweaks and i think i should have it. just been working alot so havent had alot of time to sit in front of the tank and watch every flow cycle.

oh yeah another ?i also have a colt on the very top that has not grown at all in the 7 months ive had it, but it did turn from its normal pinkish white, too all neon green.this makes me think its geting more light than it needs. how far down could i move the colt. how much light is sufficent.? easily moved never grew off its frag plug.

    nevermind, lol

You're wasting your time with the PCS, the T5HO's are sufficient for your tank alone.

The PC's are good for about 12"s deep, not much will keep color deeper then that. Even within the 12"s sps's will fade. The intensity isnt there like with T5HO's and MH's.
