I did a water cange on my 12g nano earlier this morning and shut the lights off and left. Im battling some algae. I didnt test the salt that I put in it during the water change I just mixed it. But I came back and checed on everything and my clowns are breathing very very heavily and they had some slime on them. Iv had these piccaso clowns for 8 months. I would hate for them to die.

I just went and chcked on them and they are aout the same. Should I move them into another tank that I have running or will this stress them out even more??

Well, i'm going to assume you checked to ensure the salinity was the same as the tank before adding. Did you change salt mixes?

No thats the thing I didnt until after the fact and it dropped it pretty low but I added some higher salt mix to it. Should I take them out or will it stress them even more. They arent looking so good.

Are you saying you added more salt directly to the tank?

You need to only raise the SG via water changes. Maybe I misread what you said though.
