Mounted vertically???? so you mean like since i have one on a frag plug i should mount it in the side of a rock and not on top of the rock.

On a 4bulb t-5 fixture and with the ricordias and acan on the sand shouldnt this be low light?

I was very surprised at how low of light my acans prefer. I have a couple 5"-6" colonies that look terrific set half-way up in a 29 biocube with stock lighting. I also have a small frag that is maturing 4 new polyps in a 14g biocube. That one is on the sand and that tank is also stock lighting with the addition of one 10" true-lumen 20k LED strip. The newest polyps were the size of a pea about 7 weeks ago and are just about full size now. I do supplementally feed all of my acans though. The one colony I have that is showing some signs of stress is the one in my 47 that I have been increasing the light on.

so im my standard 75gal tank with this lighting would the sand bed in the middle be a good spot or would you put them under an overhang. I thought i tried to hide them already once but nothing changed but if you think i should try it agian maybe i will

a full tank shot would be helpful Jon

that way we could asses current coral placement, proximity to power heads, and proximity to neighbours that might be releasing chemicals down stream of the corals with issues

running Carbon is something I would suggest you consider for your set up , if you are not already doing so

    Nice looking display Jon

not seeing much wrong with that to be honest
your running carbon which is a good thing as that is a fair sized leather you have in there

are the corals you are not 100% happy with, latest additions in which case they are still adjusting to the enviroment at present, whereas the long term inhabitants are fully established and thus looking at their best
