Need advise, What do you think.... Water Chemistry

    no the acans have been in the tank for months... i just started trying to dip them in coral RX.. I think they are looking much better.

    I think my main issue is my "live" sand... after reading the newest CORAL magazine i believe most of my sand is no longer hosting any life. I have a pistol shrimp and he bull dozes most of my sand to the back of the tank where it is almost 6 inches high.

    There is not much life that i can see in the sand...

    Have you ever heard of sand dying off and someone having to restock their "live"sand?????

    I still have no clue why im having these issues with the water quality

    I have read accounts / posts from people who have experienced issues with sand sifters (stars was last account I read) in that they tend to clean the and bed of beneficial creatures in addition to waste

    but the corals you are dealing with, often look reasonably healthy in fairly new set ups that had dry sand rather than live sand
    thus I do not think your sand bed is the issue
    I feel flow and light as suggested by others is probably more of an issue for these particular corals

    try moving them to areas with slight over hangs in order to create partial shade and see if that helps
