Ok, so I've got my 10 gallon and in it are 2 chromis, 2 ocellaris clowns, 1 blood shrimp, 2 hermits and 3 snails.

The water quality is high as I monitor it 3X a day and everyone seemed to be doing really well....

But yesterday I was examining each fish as always and I saw on my BIGGER clown, a white spec near the top of his body, after 10 minutes of sheer panicking thinking it was ICH I came to the forum and researched, all signs pointed to a scrape or cut.

Luckily this morning, just like the forum said, if it were to be a cut then by the morning it should heal significantly more overnight, which it did, I can barely see it now.

But then today, the bigger clown was, what looked like to me, as having muscle spasms, like his whole body was twitching. He would kind of turn to the side and twitch for about .5 of a second and then stop and he did about 2-3 times...Now upon my research it tells me that this is the "dance of love" or it's admitting submission to the other clown but the hitch in my story is that this is bigger clown doing it to the smaller one?
Is this still Ok? or could there be a disease/parasite attacking the fish?

    thanks

Great you did a recon with the research prior to posting I love that. Female Clownfish shake as well, the male better respond appropriately or he is in big trouble.

With all that said since your researching you know you really need a bigger tank.

plenty of time for a bigger tank later, the smaller ones the challenge, thus why i want it.

That's not what Corailline meant. Those fish all together should be in AT LEAST a 29 gallon, preferably a 40. You don't want to stress the fish out in a tank as small as the one you have them in.

+1 Its great that you want a challenge, but a 10 gallon tank is extremely small for 4 fish and the long term health of them depends on more room.

Fish tend to have spots show up when they are stressed for some reason, whether it's because of not enough space for that one fish to swim, or from territorial issues due to a lack of space. Tank size is completely relevant. As far as the twitching goes, Corailline is right. It's a possible sign of the Clowns deciding the male and female.

Can't answer the original question fully, but all of those fish together need a larger tank, the clown pair alone would be good.

All of us on here try to answer questions to help eachother out with this great hobby. All posts are very relevent to your question. Having that many fish in a 10 gallon is gonna produce so many problems for you. There's a difference between a challenge and common sense. Were just trying to help here and pointing out the obvious, a clownfish twitching is the least of your problems that your gonna have. Relax and good luck.
