    Very interesting something to look into. Is your HOB fuge a protein skimmer as well or no?

    No...it was not. That was 4 years ago...and two tanks ago.:)
    But that was on my 55, before i built my sump, and I had the a fore mentioned box style CPR HOB Skimmer next to it...so it worked well for me as they were both the same depth and hugged the tank/wall nicely. So many options available out there. And this forum is so important for its input before you actually pull the trigger.

    I have two CPR Bak Paks, I and II and I am very content with them. If you have the money to get an Octupus go for it. But I love my CPR Bak Paks with Rios (yes I said it, RIO 600s) THey are very quiet and they pull a lot of junk out. I had an Aqua C Remora but they are just too loud, maybe my ear just cant stand that particlar noise. If you got the money get an Aquamaxx, Octupus, or an Eshopps (Those are really good as well).
