Need help a.t.o system

    hey guys whats up i wanted to use a eshopp float valve ..i know its gravity fed but wanted to know if i can connect the other end to the line to a tom dosing pump ...i figure leave it on and water wont get in the sump unless the float valve drops and open the valve for the water to drip ...wanted to know if anybody has thought of this already i know am not the first please share any info for cheap reliable A.T.O

    To me this seems dangerous. Why put a pump on a float? I don't follow your logic here. I use gravity and a float without issues. Let me know what you are thinking here...I've had a lot of A.T.Os.. I might be able to help you out.

    I honestly don't know what you are asking, as the float valve only has one line into it.

    Instead of doing what you are thinking, I would just run the DI line into a very small container with the Eshopps float valve installed in it. Then cut a hole in the cover for the suction line and up to the Tom's pump. This is a very safe and almost fail proof way to go IMO.

    Edit: The pump would still need to be controlled by a float in the sump, either JBJ, Tunze, or controller such as Reef Angel.
