Hi all I had setup a quarantine tank like 2 months ago I have put in there about 30lb of cured LR and than I put a damsel in it after more than a month there was 0 ammonia 0 nitrite ans traces of nitrate, so I decided to get a flame angle I have taken out the damsel now its about one week and my flame has a ich out brake
I just tested the water the ammonia is about .50 :'(
what should I do? by the way I started to medicate the tank with the green-ex I have a read batch of 5 gal to do a quick water change tomorrow morning. shoudld I medicate at the night and change water every morning?

Usuallt Q tanks have no LR just because most medications will kill the live part of LR. But anyway. I would perform the water change and that should take care of the Ammonia. I would also add a filter of some sort, something you can add carbon or Ammonia stuff to. I have used Amolock on my Q tank. It changes the ammonia into a less harmful type but your test kits will not be able to tell the difference.

I've never used Green-Ex and really don't know anything about it.

Don't medicate main tank... use Poly Filter to remove green x.
