need help bigging a tank

    3 gallons may be a good amount, but it depends on your parameters(nitrates).


    personally I would say a 20 gallon long half filled would be good, but it really depends on the amount of equipment you want to incorporate in you system. I have seen 10 gallon sumps but they need to be topped off around every day.

    okthank you you are helping out alot i once had a 52 gollan tank and i just jumped into in without doing any research and boy did it kick my ass lol i spent so much money and it all went down the drain.....if you have any good ideas for me to have a very good tank please let me know and thank you for all your help!!!

    topped off means to just put fresh water in the tank bc it evaperated?

    yes thats what it means, reefs tanks have alot of evaporation.

    Oh, for sand I would go with Carib-Sea dry argonite. I'd say about 20-25lbs in the DT. I think that would be about 1.5".

    lol well tank you!!!!um if i was to but a fish in like 2 months later what fish would you think i should put in or what would you start with in putting in the tank?

    ok for lighting skimmer sump filter overflows how much do you think ill end up spending for all of them just give me a price range
