I'd rather not tear out all my rock work so I need some ideas on catching a sixline wrasse asap.
I tried a DIY bottle trap and has not worked.. all I have caught was 6 snails...

    Need help.
    Thanks.

Depends on how far you're willing to go, smallest, barbless hook may be an option. should be a last resort though.

I have used my Acclimate box by Reef Gently to catch a number of fish. Otherwise, I have seen some members use the 2-gallon plastic bag method. Or wait till it goes to sleep and pull out the whole rock if you can.

Edit: Sorry, just saw you can't pull the rock out...

My buddy and I caught an elusive wrasse by following his patterens when he gets scared. He almost always went through the same 2 rocks. Took a large freezer bag and put it in between the 2 rocks. They look invisible in the water. Once he came out, took about 10 secs of chasing with a net before he went right into the bag.

Don't feed for a day or two, then put in a bottle trap with a square of mysis.
