this is one of the colors i am considering... also in the mix is a gmc color "carbon black matalic" ...im really looking for a pearlesant black similar to Cadillac's pearl whit paint but in black i think would look amazing. i just need to find a factory color of this.

ill be doing a large portion of the body work myself i wont be doing the rear blister fenders thats beyond my abilities...im to chicken to paint it myself this is way to expensive of a project to try and paint myself so a local body shop will be doing the wonk :)

thanks for all the suggestions id love to do something like orange or something off the wall but the car stood out to the cops before and now its only going to be worse so i need a more laid back color. the car is black now so it will be alot cheaper to just go with a different black :). between the car and my tanks im going broke real fast im only 22 and the bills are growing lol

Chrysler had a color in the 70's and 80's that was a nice metallic black color. I painted my bronco 2 in that color on the bottom, and another chrysler color, dark green metallic from a mid 90's ram on top. It looked pretty wicked.

Seems to me youve already decided what color when you stated it needs to be black paint. Looks like your question is based on the metal flake or pearlescent

I understand it as the color needs to be readily available to be mixed and not some custom color that is made specifically for him, and that one color needs to be black to make it uniform. having painted several cars myself, and just being a gearhead, that makes sense to me.

My vote, Candy Apple Red on top, with a streak of metallic cold about midway down the car, and then finish the bottom off with a Carbon Fiber Matte Black scheme of sorts  I know you won't do that, but it sounds like a flippin' awesome color scheme to me so I thought I'd post it.

I know this is a weird suggestion, but maybe a green of sorts? It's different, and green is supposed to be a soothing color. So that might fit what you're looking for. Anything that calms the cops, right?

My Subaru's a forest green, and it looks blue at night under street lights  weird.

I had an 04 evo rs but was just factory red, I liked the RS since it blended in with the other lancers on the road and didnt really stand out just sounded like I had a fart pipe and aftermarket wheels/tires till I'd light someone up :)

thanks for the suggestions everyone ill snap afew pics at the body shop of the current condition of the work done to it. its not much yet the parts are all still either being made or in japan but i know how much we like pics :)

Sleepers are nice. I had a 95 Eclipse Gsx Awd Turbo. This was before they made the Turbo wing, so it looked like an Rs.
