I had a car once that I did the smae thing it was a show car that I also raced scca in and it was colbalt blue off a 92 porsche 911. The color was purplish in the dark and dark blue in the day. It was the deepest looking color I ever saw. It got a ton of compliments. I want to do another one that color just for the color.

Whatever color you decide go with a 3 stage pearl. Hard to match if you get a ding and need paint but looks great.

yeah i originally wanted the 3 stage but thats the exact reason im not getting it its a pain to fix and considering everything is going to be fiberglass its gonna get some spider cracks ect. eventually. so no 3 stage :/

Never had that problem with mine. Sometimes you have to "bake" the parts before you shoot them. Things like flares, spoilers and running boards. The flex they can add to paint usually does well. Even the plastic bumper can be "baked" so they will not crack during a mild bump/flexing.

I agree, the use of plastic or fiberglass parts does not automatically equate to spider cracks, if painted properly.

If you want to go a dark blue, check out a dark reef blue metallic say 1992-93 mustang. It's so dark that it has to have alight on it otherwise it looks almsot balck. Nice color.

not only spider cracks but rock chips god forbid an accident.... i understand it can be some what prevented but ill be running really really stiff spring rates so thats not gonna help ill be surprised if i dont chip a tooth haha... theres just to much involved in repairs and they are imminent because the car will be on the road not quiet a daily driver but it will be driven. it will be seeing alot of track time though so the 3 stage isnt gonna work... im not loaded so i cannot pay huge repair bills
