If you have the marineland magnum up and running, i see no point in going out and buying another cannister filter.

However, the marineland canister filters do have a tendancy to start leaking profusely (faulty seals I assume), and unfortunately marineland does not sell replacement o-rings to fix them. So IMO, keep running it until it breaks (which to my understanding - will eventually do so), and then go buy either an Eheim or a Rena XP (that is if you want to go cannister filter way). Otherwise, read up on sumps and their benefits if you have the space under your stand for such a setup.

PS: After reading up, the 220 is only rated for 55 gallon tanks. Depending on your tank's stock, you may actually want to upgrade to something thats rated for twice that (improved water circulation). However like I said, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. (and that includes your tank's water status)
