So i have this wet dry filter that i need help figuring out.
I know it sounds dumb but i dont know what compartment is for what in this particular detup.
It looks like it is designed for 2 inlets. But one compartment (middle) also has some space for some trays. It also has a about a 2" inch hole flowing into the return area.
I want to use it with only one inlet and one compartment of balls.
Can someone help me figure this out.
What media goes in what compartment
    Thanks
    Kevin

With what you have in mind, a single inlet will need to be on the opposite end of the return so you and flow across the sump. Balls in the first section (where you drain into), and your carbon, if you want, in the middle.

I don’t know that I would use bio-balls, it appears to me that this particular set up would have the balls submersed and for the balls to work well you would want them to be mixed with air as your supply water hits them.

As mentioned, the water will enter from the inlet positioned on the left. I would skim to the left permitting the baffles to work their magic on any potential bubbles resulting from the same. Plenty of room for media in the middle and/or the right return section. At least I think there is a baffle between the left and middle section?

The more and more I look at these pictures the less and less I care for this sump – sorry, just being honest. The hole that feeds the middle is simply a poor design – almost seems as if it should have a bulk head feeding a spinner arm to distribute the water over a tray of bale or balls. But whatever, you have it and it should work just fine for skimming and filtering.
