like the title says i need some advice. i traded some frags to my lfs to make an even trade for this blasto and a favia with approx. 30+ heads.;D

its a blastomussa wellsi with exactly 8 heads. out of the 8 heads 3-4 of them have exposed skeletons which can be seen somewhat in the pic. some more than others.

i need to know what would you guys do? i really dont want to frag away the heads with the skeletons showing. im hoping i can bring them back. they were negelcted by the lfs for some time. he says it fell behind some rock in a DT and he recently found it.

feeding may help.... but I dont think that the damaged heads will accept the food.

let it be and give it ideal water conditions. Play with it... and it will stress it more.

You can try sprinkling some food over it and see how the coral responds.

Nice Favia, I have one thats almost exactly the same color combination. Its
one of the fastest growing favias that I have too.

On the Blastos, I would leave them alone for awhile, they should do just fine
now that they are back in the light. Watch them especially at night and you
will know when to stat feeding them because they will extend feeding tentacles,
when you see these you might try feeding them some mysis. They are actully a
pretty resilant coral and will come back just fine if given a chance.

Those are Blue Snowflakes Claveria Polyps, you might want to remove them.
They are border line borderline invasive coral. Some say that they will kill other
corals but I have them in my tank and haven't had a problem. they do look
kind of cool but I can vouch for them spreading, and fast. they don;t need to
be touching anything to spread either, I have them in about 10 places and they
all came from one small rock.

so heres an update on my blastos. the before and after shots show how quickly they bounced back. every single head made a comeback;D.

the pic is not the best. its not in the best spot for me to get a real good shot.
