I bought a nice piece of rock that has 7 green hairy mushrooms on it and after acclimating it and after the lights turned off I noticed this little star fish looking thing. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? Is it reef safe or should I get it out.

It's about the size of a dime and has what looks to be 7 arms. This picture will help you out I hope

Wow, Im not sure if I want to keep the little thing in the tank or not after reading that.
I don't have many corals in the tank yet, what, maybe 5 frags at most and the rock with the 9 green hairy mushrooms on it. Id like to start adding larger colonies of different types and don't want to wind up having them devoured by that little thing. I may have to put it in my sump. Right now I have it in a small container.
