Okay so I have a question. If I made a small acrylic box and drilled a few small holes for water movement, could I stick it in my red sea sump with cheato or something? It would be fed with some LEDs under the lid. Would be minimum flow. Just wondering if it would be worth doing?

I don't see why not. I love trying different things just to see what could happen. After all it is a hobby right? If you decide to do it would you mind uploading some pics? You just might be able to help others. ;) Good luck!

You could do that in the back chamber (center). Use a razor to remove the small bit of plastic covering the back wall, and put a light back there, run it reverse from daylight.

You could also put a box in the DT itself. Maybe use an overflow and put another tank for a refugium in the stand. I did that to my 250.
