Need Help making a filter

So when i was out today i jumped the gun and bought a new tank because it was too cheap. So the tank is a Aqua One AR620 Aquarium. But it was incomplete, (had everything which i wanted though). So basically it is an empty tank. 30 gallon. 24 x 12x18 skinnier tall tank. Perfect for my clowns.


Now i have an extra coralife 65g protein skimmer i want to use and some extra korallia power heads 2x 240's. Also i have an extra magdrive 3 350gph pump i would like to incorporate also. I would like to use as much of this equipment as i can. So only thing i am missing i think is a light. I will purchase a single mh light.

My problem is i have never used a tank like this before, how would i go about designing the filter at the back. Just insert plexi-glass panels to make sections and fill it with what?

i use a sump/refugium on my dt tank, so my idea of how it should look is different than this nanomtank

 

i would try to make a refugium and some carbon as well
