    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks like a Hyroid Jelly. They are harmless and often seen in newly set up tanks after the initial cycle. For some reason they die off.

    +1 harmless hydroid, mine fluctuate with how I feed, ie, if I feed a lot for a while, I tend to see more of them.
