i've thought about the coral beauty, but for some reason, they kinda remind me of the freshwater Oscar as far as look wise, never really cared about them to much

so i looked up the blenny, they are pretty cool looking, and would add a lot of color. If i decide to not go with the gramma, what kind of fish should i think about replacing it with?

+1 on the gramma being a devil fish. mean mean little thing. I will never get another one.

My bicolor blenny is fricking awesome. I swear he plays with me and my daughter (my littler girls is convinced they're playing hide & seek together (she's 20 months)).

Cardinals are fun... but they look kind of fake to me... mostly bc they tend to not move and just sort of hover for periods of time... also, they are extremely docile... so anything semi aggressive might stress them (gramma's... an agressive clown for example).

I liked my firefish, but it was kind of boring... didn't do much...

If you're worried about getting a mean gramma you could observe the ones available at your LFS. I would assume if it's mean it would be acting like a brat at the store. If it seems fine, go for it! Maybe put the gramma in last, because they are territorial. Mine is, but she's not mean. She just chases the invader off and leaves it at that.

Although I just have experience with mine, she was the best addition to my tank because she is so bright and swims around constantly. I vouch for gramma!! :)

I'm liking the blenny but I read that they can be coral nippers so that's my only worry
