I'm looking into purchasing a dosing pump. I looked at the GHL Profilux Stand Alone Dosing system, 3 pumps w/controller, the Aqua Medic Reefdoser Dosing Pump (3 pumps), the Aquatronica ACQ450 and the Bubble-Magus T01. All are relatively priced with the exception of the GHL Profilux which is a little higher priced than the others. Anyone have experience with any of these pumps and can offer any opinions and or suggestions?

I have (experience too) with only 1. Aqua Medic Reefdoser Dosing Pump.

I like it. I don't know much about the others, so this isn't comparison per se from me.

With the aqua medic, it runs in intervals, not time o'clock.

so you can set your alk, for example, to dose every 24 hours. (or whatever you want to do). but to set when that 24 hours is (like 11pm or whatever) you need to set that pump at 11pm. if you want the Ca pump to go every 24 hours at noon, you need to set the pump at noon. you can't program in noon. it'll do whatever interval you program and start the countdown when you program it. make sense?

Also suggest getting a battery backup. The unit will not lose your settings, but it will reset all intervals to when power comes back on (i.e. all three pumps will dose when power is restored and every 24 hours after together unless you step in and reset them at specified times... a battery backup completely negates that drawback (and is extra piece of mind anyway)). Actually, if it does lose power, it doesn't just dose when power comes back on, it goes into like a standby mode and won't dose anything until you come in and tell it to go again... but the interval times will be reset... anyway, i put a battery backup on mine and have never touched it since it's been dialed in.

Thanks Peredhil, great review on the Aqua Medic. Good advise on the battery backup too.

I just ordered a bubble magus triple. I bought that one because it does not require a reset if the power goes out.

I just set up my Bulk Reef Supply dosers. I got two and run them off of my RKL.. They are on sale right now and seem to be very very well built. With the combo of the RKL and dosers they do not lose time or reset and I can program them down to the second.

I've been using my Bubble Magus for about 2 months now. So far so good.
