Need help picking out a skimmer

Me and my girlfriend have bin talking and decied its time to put the 72 in storge and bring out the 125. Its a All glass 125 with duel overflows and returns i will be useing a 55 for the sump. Befor i can design the sump i need to figure out witch skimmer im going to use. I amy looking at the Reef Octopus 6 (150 Gallon) In Sump Pinwheel Protein Skimmer w/ Bubble Plate from Marine depot can anyone shed some light on would this be my best choice for the money id like to stay around 200 or less

It's prob a better idea to get a skimmer rated for 200-250 gal if you're going to go thru the journey of setting up a 125.

The skimmer is the last thing to cut corners on, not the 1st.

 

+1, usually take your system volume and double it to find out what size skimmer you should use. You would be between 250-400 gallons.

 

so any recommendation on witch skimmer i should get then. I dont plain to have alot of fish in this tank 6 tops

 

I still stand by the skimmer I have, but I'll look won't be in that budget though unless you get a used one.

I have that eBay skimmer the sc302 . It is great value for what you get
