need help selecting a good pump

    Im kind of new to this hobbie whats a good pump and how much gph do i need for a 120 gal tank. Help

    i use a mag 9 return for my 130 gal. But generally it depends on how high the DT is from the sump and how many 90deg and 45deg angles in the plumbing you plan to incorporate. If u buy bigger like a mag12 for example, you can always channel back the volume using a ball or gate valve. :)

    looking for a return pump? I use a Mag 18 in mine... as long as your plumbing is equipped to handle it, it's great... it's not too much, if anything, it's slightly underpowered...
