Need Help Wiring MH lights!!

    If you could include a photo of the entire ballast with the wires coming out of it that would be a major help ...

    I got that the yellow and the green are the ground wires. that leaves the black, white, red and orange color ones.

    I just followed the wiring.

    There's two transformers and two white capsule looking things. Capacitor perhaps? Anyways. I traced all but the orange and red wires back to the white capsule things. I supposed these two are the "hot" leads.

    Am I right?

    On the transformer (the big metal deal that says "Advance") is a wiring diagram.

    A close up of that please ...

    Yes.

    I would suppose so.

    Red to one lamp holder, orange to the other, split the white to each lampholder, cap off the yellow and black (which goes where?), and ground the reflectors / housing with the green.

    Thanks a lot wiigelec, I just wired it up, ran it for about 20 mins, no probs. :D

    Hey no problem. It is difficult over the Internet and I am glad it worked and didn't pop a breaker or something.

    Anyway if I was to guess I would say that the yellow and black wires would be used if you wanted to add a switch to your light fixture. Not sure why the yellow is grounded :confused:
